Christiaan van Dijk of the municipality of Utrecht spoke about the automatic anonymisation of data. When anonymizing data and publishing data, you always have the privacy dilemma: 'What do you make public and how do you deal with privacy-sensitive data?'. In the municipality of Utrecht they started a pilot in which they anonymize data with privacy in mind. They do this with the TM7 software. This software combines language technology, text mining and algorithms to anonymise data. The software takes care of name, address, place of residence, date of birth, BSN and telephone number. You have to teach the system the Utrecht dialect to be able to anonymize properly. Based on 5 document flows, the municipality has started to automatically anonymise, and in the coming years they will continue to develop.
